The sun was shining on this year’s Tynwald Ceremony. The great and the good turned out in the suits and Ascot hats. The Lieutenant Governor, Sir John Lorimer, spoke in Manx from ‘the Hill’ for the first time. The fair field was absolutely packed. There seemed to be more stalls than I have ever seen before. Business was good for the stall holders.
